Jhalawar is a princely city of southern
Rajasthan. Once upon a time, it was the
capital of the former royal state of Jhalawar.
At present, Jhalawar is the administrative
headquarters of Jhalawar district. Jhalawar
is a city of warriors since time immemorial.
This city has shown the way to overcome
all the vicissitudes of life. There was
once a time when several historic ruins
were found in and around the city of Jhalawar,
all of which were destroyed during the
period of Mughal rule. Among the historical

best season to visit Jhalawar is during
the period September to March. In Rajasthan's
capital Jaipur, tourists can travel to
Jhalawar by car rentals, cars and rickshaws
sometimes by bus from the Rajasthan Tourism
Development Corporation. There are popular
trains, which stop regularly in Jhalawar.
