Hotels in Ajmer

Ajmer is a small medieval town in the state of Rajasthan. It was founded by Raja Ajaypal Chauhan in the 7th century and is one of the most famous Muslim pilgrimage centres in India. There are many beautiful monuments of historical importance as in Ajmer Dargah-e-Sharif (falls), Taragarh Fort, Adhai-Din Ka-Jhonpra and Ana Sagar Lake. There are many hotels in Ajmer and around the city and it is not surprising because of its religious significance in the country. The city is well planned with wide streets and is also a very important railway junction. The city has prospered with the attraction of tourism and contributed to modernize wool industries such as textiles, hosiery, shoes, soap and pharmaceuticals.

Most hotels in Ajmer are designed to function as mass houses for pilgrims seeking a place to stay. The space and cost is preferred comfort that most of the pilgrims can not afford expensive hotel rooms. Besides these arrangements cheap housing specially designed for pilgrims with subsidiaries, there are still many good Ajmer hotel with modern comforts. There are two stars and three-star budget hotels, heritage and premium hotels hotels. The rooms are standard in all the assets and the premium hotels with large rooms, 24 hours of facilities and services, AC and other comforts.

Some hotels are heritage Ajmer Amar Junia Bagh, Tikam Niwas Mewar Estate, Bijayniwas Palace Resort and Fort Roopangarh. These are very different premium hotels as they have all been converted from old forts and havelis in hotels. Ajmer hotels as Regency Palace Hotel Mansingh and are the premium category. Budget Hotels in Ajmer are as Khadim Hotel, Ambassador Hotel, Hotel Embassy Hotel Sahil and do very well as it balances cost with comfort. Most pilgrims save enough for a comfortable journey to Ajmer and a stay in the budget Ajmer hotels.
