The history of Rajasthan can be counted
from the time before the birth of Christ.
Historians say that Rajasthan was domiciled
well before 2500 BC. It was the northern
part of Rajasthan where the Indus Valley
civilization was founded. The main inhabitants
of this state were the Bhil Mina tribes.
They are the oldest inhabitants of this
region. Around 1400 BC, the Aryans came
to visit this place, and then settled
in this particular area permanently. Accordingly,
the local population was forced to move
south and east. Later it was here that
the Afghans, Turks, Persians and the Mughals,
with whom the original inhabitants of
this land were beaten on several occasions
to save their lives.
With wars, free mixing between two different
cultures were also underway, which gave
birth to the Rajputs and the hunter class
Royal society. Starting the period of
King Harsha, the training period of the
Sultanate of Delhi, Rajasthan has been
crumbled into several rival kingdoms from
each other. During this time the Rajputs
of this diverse field were divided into
36 Royal clans. Since then, Rajasthan
faces a long reign lasting cultural dynamics
and Rajputs. The reign of Rajputs ended
in the 14th century. Perhaps the concept
of praying to the sun, moon and fire God
came in vogue during this period. The
Brahmin class in Rajasthan has also emerged
during this Rajput era.
The history of Rajasthan said that the
Mughals took over total control of this
region through the political strategy
of Akbar, the great Mughal emperor. He
married Jodha Bai who was from a Rajput
royal family. She was the daughter of
the Maharaja of Amber and a princess as
well. Rajputs faced military failure and
thus made these formidable enemies their
faithful friends. After the marriage covenant,
Akbar gave a number of offices to many
Rajput princes. But proving the evil emperor,
this strategy could not deter the power
of Rajputs. Later the place came under
British rule.
The history of Rajasthan is actually the
history of Rajputs. But the origin of
the Rajputs is quite doubtful. Years later,
when India became independent, a total
of 23 princely states were combined to
form the State of Rajasthan. The private
purses are important aspects of the history
of Rajasthan. Financial compensation packages
were given to the Maharajas of these various
independent states of India when they
abandoned their titles and chose to join
the Indian Union.
